Hi there!

My name is Emmi, I’m the Director of Network Relations. Sounds fancy, eh? Basically my job is to help people communicate with each other. I deal with PR, and also situations when there are conflicts in the community, which thankfully doesn’t happen too often!

I’m a 22-year-old female nerdfighter, living in Southern Finland. I’ve been a nerdfighter since fall 2010, and I love this community. I’ve met some of the greatest people I know through it! The network and the people of the chat hold a very special place in my heart, I’ve been chatting with these guys since January 2012. People come and go, but the general ambiance in the chat seems to remain the same, which is brilliant and also not very common in internet communities, I think.

In real life I study English Philology in the University of Helsinki. English language has always been a bit of a passion of mine, along with literature. In the future I will possibly teach English language in a Finnish upper secondary school, but since life never really seems to go the way you plan it, we’ll see. I like books, tea, movies, music, knitting, photography and many other things. I’m pretty good at liking things in general. I have and chronic wanderlust and warm socks make me happy. That’s about it.
